Working with a money manager is easy!  It will save you time and can often improve your portfolio's performance—all for a low asset-based management fee.

CPIC’s Agreement designates CPIC as professional investment advisor to your account, with a limited authority to issue trading orders to your broker or custodian.  Your portfolio will remain in your control at your brokerage firm or trust company (Schwab, Fidelity, TD Ameritrade, etc.).

There are four elements of CPIC’s investment process:

We review your financial objectives, risk profile, tax situation, retirement objectives, and time horizon, and evaluate your portfolio in light of current market conditions.  Then we customize a portfolio strategy designed to help achieve your goals.

We evaluate and restructure your existing portfolio to better position it for future growth. We accomplish this by eliminating investments we expect to underperform, and selecting new investments using our Multi-Manager Approach.  This disciplined methodology, which is based upon and extensive macroeconomic research, makes exclusive use of no-load mutual funds for maximum flexibility and diversification.

We actively manage your account, utilizing Dynamic Asset Allocation to keep investments with good expected performance in your account.  We will:
  • Review your investments each week or more frequently
  • Upgrade under-performing investments as needed
  • Rebalance your portfolio as market conditions change
  • Conduct periodic reviews to ensure that your strategy is on track
Communication along the way.  We keep you informed with:
  • Easy-to-read portfolio statements (quarterly)
  • Market updates via email and in the ”client-only” area of our website
  • CPIC’s quarterly newsletter “Investment Perspectives”
  • User-friendly performance and tax reporting summaries at year-end
  • Online access to your account
  • Personal service!  Call to speak to the manager of your account at any time.

Advisor Insight

“We use the 'Multiple-Manager Approach' using no-load mutual funds to manage accounts because it offers a flexible approach that allows changing the composition of a portfolio as industry sectors and investment styles rotate in and out of favor.  This flexibility helps us to produce better risk-adjusted returns.”
